Choose the right size to grow vegetables

For most plants, a 6-to 8-inch-deep planter box is sufficient. But the depth may vary for some vegetables. Turnips, cucumbers, broccoli, beets, lettuce, and green onions can all grow well in a pot at that depth, but other vegetables, like cabbage, need a deeper depth of at least 10 inches. Large pots provide enough space for roots to grow. Avoid using small pots as they often can’t retain enough water to get through hot days. Plus, the bigger your pot, the more vegetables you can grow! Also, you can use barrels, buckets, baskets, boxes, bath- and other tubs, and troughs—anything that holds soil.

The planter’s height is 25.5 inches (legs included) and the depth is 10.6 inches. It has three colors, white, gray and coffee.
